The ECAA Turkish Businessperson route is closed to new main applicants. Limited extension and settlement provisions remain for eligible Turkish nationals and family members who already hold, or previously held where the rules permit, permission in the relevant ECAA category.
Because this is a legacy route, the person’s full immigration history, business activity and existing ECAA status must be checked before any application is prepared. A new business proposal alone does not make someone eligible for the route.

- Settlement for an eligible Turkish Businessperson or Turkish Worker
- Applications by eligible dependant partners and children
- Extension or settlement planning where family members have different expiry dates
- Applications requiring evidence of continuous business activity and compliance
Evidence commonly reviewed
- Previous grants of ECAA permission and complete immigration history
- Business accounts, tax records and trading evidence
- The applicant’s active role in the business
- Changes to the business structure or activity
- Residence, absence and knowledge-of-language-and-life evidence for settlement
- Relationship and dependency evidence for family members
Important information
ECAA cases are fact-sensitive and transitional provisions can be complex. Do not make a new application or change the business structure without checking how the current rules apply to the person’s existing permission.
