The Skilled Worker visa allows an eligible person to work in the UK in a qualifying job for a Home Office-approved sponsor. The applicant needs a valid Certificate of Sponsorship and must meet the job, salary, English-language and suitability requirements.
Under the current general rules, the salary must usually meet both the applicable annual threshold and the occupation’s going rate. Different thresholds, transitional arrangements and discounts can apply, so the occupation code and individual history must be checked before a Certificate of Sponsorship is assigned.

After the visa is granted
